The BB 500 with its steep crushing chamber and powerful drive provides for very effective crushing kinematics.

    Application Examples

alloys, basalt, cement clinker, ceramics, chamotte, coal, coke, construction materials, feldspar, glass, granite, minerals, quartz, ores, oxide ceramics, rocks, silicon, slag, …

    Product Advantages

    • High crushing ratio 50:1
    • Continuous gap width setting
    • Overload protection
    • Wide range of materials for contamination free grinding
    • Removable no-rebound feed hopper
    • Easy-to-clean crushing chamber
    • Continuous and batch-wise crushing
    • Connector for dust extraction
    • Central lubrication (optional)
    • Suitable for integration in automatic installations
    • Special version for grinding semi-conductor materials

    Function Principle

The Jaw Crusher BB 500 is a robust and powerful forced-feed crusher. The feed material passes through the no-rebound hopper and enters the crushing chamber.

Size reduction takes place in the wedge-shaped area between the fixed crushing arm and one oscillating with high frequency. This motion ensures a consistent gap width in the stroke cycle so that the sample is crushed to the set fineness in one working step. Two massive flywheels transmit high impulse forces to the crushing jaws. The innovative design permits using both sides of the jaws thanks to a 180° rotation.

As soon as the sample is smaller than the discharge gap width, it falls into a removable collector. The continuous gap width setting with scale ensures optimum size reduction in accordance with the set gap width.

Thanks to its robust design, the Disc Mill DM 200 can be used under rough conditions in laboratories and pilot plants, as well as online for the quality control of raw materials. The powerful DM 200 requires only a few minutes to achieve the desired grind size.

    Application Examples

Bauxit, Cement Clinker, Chalk, Chamotte, Coal, Concrete, Construction Waste, Coke, Dental Ceramics, Dried soil Samples, Drilling Cores, Electrotechnical Porcelain, Ferro Alloys, Glass…

    Product Advantages

    • Excellent crushing performance
    • Reproducible results due to accurate gap setting
    • Hinged grinding chamber for easy cleaning
    • Grinding discs with long working life
    • Wide range of materials for contamination free grinding
    • Connector for dust extraction
    • Can be operated together with Jaw Crusher BB 200

    Function Principle

In the DM 200 the feed material enters the dust proof chamber from the filling hopper and is fed centrally between two vertical grinding discs. A moving grinding disc rotates against a fixed one and draws in the feed material. The necessary comminution effects are generated by pressure and frictional forces. The progressively arranged grinding disc meshing first subjects the sample to preliminary crushing; centrifugal force then moves it to the outer regions of the grinding discs where fine comminution takes place. The processed sample exits through the grinding gap and is collected in a receiver. The gap width between the grinding discs is continuously adjustable and can be adjusted during operation in the range between 0.1 and 5 mm; an additional observation window is provided for checking the gap setting.

  • The Emax is an entirely new type of ball mill for high energy milling. The unique combination of high friction and impact results in extremely fine particles within the shortest amount of time.

    Application Examples

Alloys, Bones, Carbon Fibers, Catalysts, Cellulose, Cement Clinker, Ceramics, Chemical Products, Clay Minerals, Coal, Coke, Concrete, Fibers, Glass, Alloys, Cellulose…

    Product Advantages

    • Faster and finer grinding than any other ball mill
    • Speed of 2000 min-1 allow for ultra-fast pulverization of the sample
    • Water cooling permits continuous operation without cool down breaks
    • Temperature-controlled grinding
    • Narrow particle size distribution thanks to special jar design which improves mixing of the sample
    • Patented drive concept
    • Easy operation via touch screen, 10 SOPs storable
    • Operation with 2 grinding jars
    • Easy installation of grinding jars
    • Jars with integrated safety closure
    • Range of jar materials allow for contamination free grinding

    Function Principle

The novel size reduction mechanism of the Emax unites the advantages of different mill types: high-frequency impact (mixer mill), intensive friction (vibratory disc mill) and controlled circular jar movements (planetary ball mill) allow for unrivaled grinding performance. This unique combination is generated by the oval shape and the movement of the grinding jars. The grinding jar supports are mounted on two discs respectively which turn in the same direction. As a result, the jars move on a circular course without changing their orientation.

The interplay of jar geometry and movement causes strong friction between grinding balls, sample material and jar walls as well as a rapid acceleration which lets the balls impact with great force on the sample at the rounded ends of the jars. This significantly improves the mixing of the particles resulting in smaller grind sizes and a narrower particle size distribution than has been possible to achieve in ball mills so far.

The knife mill GRINDOMIX GM 200 is the ideal instrument for grinding and homogenizing foods and feeds. It allows to process sample volumes up to 0.7 liters quickly and reproducibly.

With two sharp, robust blades and a powerful 1000 W motor, it is ideal for homogenizing substances with a high water, oil or fat content as well as for grinding dry, soft and medium-hard products. A wide selection of lids and containers allows for adaptation of the mill to individual application requirements. The GRINDOMIX GM 200 meets and exceeds all special laboratory and analytical requirements and is a professional device superior to any commercial household mixer.

    Application Examples

Candy, Cereals, Cereal bars, Cheese, Cocoa Nibs, Coated Tablets, Frozen Products, Dietary Supplements, Dried and Fresh Fruit, Feed Pellets, Fish, Ham, Lettuce, Nuts, Meat…

    Product Advantages

    • Efficient size reduction of up to 700 ml feed quantity due to a powerful 1000 W motor
    • Pre- and fine-grinding in one mill: cutting action in regular mode, grinding by impact in reverse mode, pre-grinding in interval mode
    • Perfect adaptation to application requirements by variable speed from 2.000 to 10.000 min-1 with an increment of 500 min-1
    • Boost function with speed of 14.000 min-1
    • 8 SOPs and 4 sequences can be stored
    • Touch display with access to MyRETSCH web portal with product and application related information
    • Optional gravity lids or volume reduction lids for automatic reduction of the grinding chamber volume
    • Grinding jar in plastic, stainless steel and glass available
    • All parts which come into contact with the sample material are autoclavable

    Function Principle

Two sharp, robust blades rotate in the center of the grinding container. Depending on the rotational direction, size reduction is effected with the blunt side (preliminary size reduction) or the sharp side (fine grinding). The knife is indirectly driven by a powerful motor of 1000 W. A pre-selectable speed which is maintained electronically ensures optimum adaptation to individual application requirements as well as reproducible grinding results.
