    The well-proven RETSCH sieves consist of a solid stainless steel sieve frame of high stability for reliable sieving results. Paying close attention to mesh-specific requirements, the sieve fabric is precisely joined into the frame and tautened. The individual laser engraving of each RETSCH test sieve provides a clear and accurate labeling with full traceability.

    The sieves can be easily combined with all other sieve brands. Each sieve that leaves the company comes with a test report or, at your request, with a special inspection certificate in conformity with national and international standards (PDF). RETSCH calibration certificates confirm a great number of precision measurements, thus ensuring an even higher statistical reliability for your quality control.

    RETSCH test sieves are available in many sizes and varieties, primarily in the four frame sizes most widely used in laboratory analytics:

    Function Principle

    Prior to delivery, each test sieve is optically measured and granted a test report. On request, an inspection certificate with the measuring results in tabular and graphical form or a calibration certificate with detailed statistics is delivered.

    As a special service, we offer to recalibrate your test sieves. After the standard measuring process, all relevant data is recorded and confirmed in the calibration certificate, if desired.

    The Jaw Crusher BB 500 is used for rapid, effective, crushing and pre-crushing of medium-hard, hard, brittle and tough materials. Its variety of materials offered, including heavy-metal free steel, and its efficiency and safety makes the BB 500 ideal for sample preparation in laboratories and industrial plants.

    For small amounts of sample the BB 500 is used batch-wise; for larger amounts it can be operated continuously. Control of the gap width and zero-point adjustment allow for reproducible results.

    The BB 500 with its steep crushing chamber and powerful drive provides for very effective crushing kinematics.

    Function Principle

    The Jaw Crusher BB 500 is a robust and powerful forced-feed crusher. The feed material passes through the no-rebound hopper and enters the crushing chamber.

    Size reduction takes place in the wedge-shaped area between the fixed crushing arm and one oscillating with high frequency. This motion ensures a consistent gap width in the stroke cycle so that the sample is crushed to the set fineness in one working step. Two massive flywheels transmit high impulse forces to the crushing jaws. The innovative design permits using both sides of the jaws thanks to a 180° rotation.

    As soon as the sample is smaller than the discharge gap width, it falls into a removable collector. The continuous gap width setting with scale ensures optimum size reduction in accordance with the set gap width.

    The Jaw Crusher BB 600 is used for rapid, effective, crushing and pre-crushing of medium-hard, hard, brittle and tough materials.

    Due to the low installation height (1 m), the BB 600 is ideally suited for continuous operation in automatic installations and sampling stations. Thanks to the compact design of the BB 600 it may replace a jaw crusher in existing installations.

    The Jaw Crusher BB 600 is a robust and powerful jaw crusher. The feed material passes through the no-rebound hopper and enters the crushing chamber.

    Size reduction takes place in the wedge-shaped area between the fixed breaking jaw and the movable breaking jaw driven by an eccentric drive shaft. The elliptical motion crushes the sample which then moves downwards under gravity.

    On reaching the discharge gap width, it falls into a removable collector or, for continuous applications, on a conveyor belt, vibratory feeder or sampler.

    The CryoMill is tailored for cryogenic grinding. The grinding jar is continually cooled with liquid nitrogen from the integrated cooling system before and during the grinding process. Thus the sample is embrittled and volatile components are preserved. The liquid nitrogen circulates through the system and is continually replenished from an Autofill system in the exact amount which is required to keep the temperature at -196 °C.
    Powerful impact ball milling results in a perfect grinding efficiency. The Autofill system avoids direct contact with LN2 and makes cryogenic grinding very safe. Its versatility (cryogenic, wet and dry grinding at room temperature) makes the CryoMill the ideal grinder for quantities up to 20 ml.
